- Nelson Industries introduced the NEC range of fluorescent lamps into the Australian Market and thus was the a market leader for the introduction of T8 , Triphosphor and the recent Quadphosphor range of fluorescent lamps
- Evolving from here Nelson Industries developed and introduced new and innovative products focusing on environmentally friendly products.
- In 1997 Nelson Lamps acquired the Electrozap Division of Clean Air Technologies that manufactured the Electrozap Brand of commercial insect control devices. These products are now manufactured off shore and imported into Australia.
- Late in the year 2000, Nelson Lamps acquired a Table lamp manufacturing company . A new range of table lamps and desk lamps is now available to the market.
- In February 2002 Nelson Lamps invested in a majority share holding of Allen Fluorescent Lamps.
- We are currently expanding our distribution network into China to service and appoint distribution offices in countries outside of Australia and New Zealand.
- With the growth of the company, it became apparent that Nelson Lamps was no longer only a lighting company . On the 1st July 2005, Nelson Lamps changed its name to Nelson Industries.
